They all say they are mold-proof, but after a while there’s no stopping it. I put the liner into the wash and it cleans it really well, but the mold inevitably comes back. It’s usually down where the liner clings to the tub and is probably because it can’t dry out well there, but I can’t figure out how to solve that issue. Is there something with which you can clean the liner or something to put on the liner to keep mold from growing?
FYI: I do keep the liner fully extended, but I wonder if that’s part of the problem because then the whole thing just clings to the wet tub and never dries well. I like the idea of pulling the liner outside the tub, but how do you keep it from dripping (even after shaking the excess water out)?
I really don’t want to get rid of the antiques, and some I won’t. But how do I get rid of the mold growing. It is even growing on the window sills. The only thought that I have (besides water and bleach-and I am AFRAID to try it on the wood) is to get central air. Does insurance cover this, and is there any hope out there. All we have are antiques passed down from the 1800’s, I could care less about the rest. What do I do?

We currently have a dehumidifier running (non-stop) in the basement and are going to get another one this weekend. With the weather how it has been, hot and rainy and extremely humid, that’s the cause. I have every window open in the house-so the air is circulating. Today I cleaned most of it with bleach and water. I just hope that it stays away. Would central air work for future summers?
I’m renting an apartment and my bathroom has mold. The renting office made us sign a specific mold clause before hand. It seems as if they knew they had mold and just painted over it because the mold showed up very quickly after we moved in. How do I get rid of it without paying thousands of dollars to a specialist? It’s on the ceiling so it’s really hard to reach.
I discovered mold growing on some driftwood i have in my crabitat. I’ve cleaned the mold up but im afraid it’s going to come back. I’m guessing the reason why mold is growing is because my humidity is too high and not enough airflow. I have sponges in each of my water bowls and crushed coral substrate. How can i keep the humidity high but not too high, and have enough airflow through the tank without growing mold?
Oil paintings on canvas with wood stretchers were accidentally stored in damp conditions (leaky garden shed) for many years. Patches of black mold are growing on the back of some paintings, white mold on the backs of others. The black mold is starting to show through on the painted side. These are family portraits, painted 50 years ago by a beloved family member. We are sick to see this damage and can’t figure out how to treat the mold without further staining or damaging the painting. The paintings are typically about 18×24. Any suggestions?
Thanks

I don’t have central air or heating. I went down in my basement two days ago and we’re starting to get mold. I contacted the landlord and he’s fixing it with that mold blocker paint and a dehumidifier. Does mold affect your health if you are upstairs (1 or 2 floors above the basement)? I try to stay away from the actual mold and wear gloves and a mask when I must go in the basement.
Lately I’ve been wheezing after running and in general feeling like it’s harder to breath, is it possible orange mold is causing this? If it helps the mold is orange growing in discrete small dotts aproximately 0.2cmx0.2cm on the ceiling of my bathroom(probably due to the fact that there is no ceiling fan so the water vapor is trapped towards the ceiling) anyway, what is the best way to remove this mold?
When I moved to into this house there was mold in the bathroom. I figured I could get some Tilex and just remove the mold. It does not seem to have worked. The black mold is still there. How do I destroy the mold once and for all? I’ve heard I can use bleach and water or ammonia and water. Which is best? Also, does it matter how long the mold has been there? We rent and don’t know how long the mold has been there. We’ve been here for almost one year. Since it’s been so long, does that mean we just have to live with it? Please help!
I have a cheap pitcher from Wal-Mart that has been getting light mold specs on it. At least I think it is mold. It happens after the pitcher has been rinsed out and sits out for a fews day, in the kitchen, until someone makes more koolaid. We keep cleaning and bleaching the pitcher but the mold comes back. Does anyone know if this could potentionally spread to our house?
