I dropped my iphone in the pool, and so that i could keep the warranty, i painted the water damage indicator on the phone. It is perfectly done and you would never be able to tell. But, is there anyway the store checks for water damage when u hand the phone in for warranty service besides looking at the water damage thing? Do they open the phone? Scan it? put it in a machine? THANKS

My wife and myself recently had a small apartment fire. The fire itself caused very little damage, some scorch marks on the ceiling that come right off. The sprinkler system and the firemen, on the other hand, caused quite a bit of damage: they tore a huge swath of carpeting up to help pool the water, sawed part of our sliding door frame out to make an outlet for the water off the balcony, knocked our toilet out to make a drain. a great deal of our things are ruined.
we dont have renters insurance, but we can eat the damages to our personal property. however, our landlord is telling us that they dont have any insurance either, and that were responsible for all damages done by the fire, the firemen, the sprinkler system, and other misc charges, such as the alarm system guy and elevator technician coming out.
im trying to get in touch with a tenant’s union here in seattle, but since theyre volunteer run organizations theyre slow to respond. does the landlord’s story sound strange

Are there any companies that test for mold in home for free? Some body told me there was but I cant find any on the net. I think I have mold problems in my home due to a leak and am now very sick. Who can I contact?

i have insurance in indiana. if the investigator finds my tenant is negligent for fire damage - can company sue them??
what is this process?

we have several holes in our ceiling and they are right in a row. It is like that in more then one place. We are also having a mold problem and we bought our house from the owner outside a real estate agency. We are worried that the owner knoew it had mold. At thios point we do not know how bad it is but we just want to know if he knew it .

I am buying a House with fire damage, I believe I can fix it up to codes, the only problem I am not a licensed contractor. As far as wether it has been sort of condemned what kind of procedure follow, will I have to comply with a very lengthy requirements licenses, how soon can i have it to move in as far as city approval is concerned , etc. any body had an experience like this could advise me, Thanks!
